All of our courses are being held virtually by our expert tutors. Book online below to secure your place.
Held in collaboration with LMR Global - This one-day course steps through the stages involved in First Article Inspection (FAI) and provides an overview of the tools, procedures and reporting requirements as specified in AS9102.
**Please note that we encourage all our delegates sitting on virtual courses to have access to a webcam. This will enable you to interact with both the tutor and other course attendees.**

Course aims
erospace, automotive, and medical are industries that are governed by strict requirements for manufacturing and quality assurance. Consequently a First Article Inspection (FAI) is mandated as part of the detailed verification of production results versus product design before mass production begins. The purpose of the First Article Inspection is to provide objective evidence that all engineering design and specification requirements are thoroughly understood, accounted for, verified, and documented.
AS9102 is a structured framework that establishes the baseline requirements for performing and documenting First Article Inspection ensuring that documentation is consistent – a requirement for aerospace components FAI.
The standard helps organisations plan and complete actions for the product realisation cycle which are required to ensure quality products are delivered on time, whilst achieving cost performance targets.
The documentation generated is utilised as a quality record for the supplier. It is evidence of accountability and planning for the customer to review, plus can be used for performing periodic surveillance and audits to verify conformance, for evaluating root cause and corrective action for any non-conformances, and for investigation of any issues.
