FMEA – Failure Mode and Effects Analysis LMR Global - Aerospace Core Tool Training
All of our courses are being held virtually by our expert tutors. Book online below to secure your place.
Held in collaboration with LMR Global - This one-day course explains how Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) can be used to evaluate the risks associated with product and process design. It provides an overview of the methodology used to develop and implement design and process FMEA and details the essential steps to identify and reduce product and process risks.
**Please note that we encourage all our delegates sitting on virtual courses to have access to a webcam. This will enable you to interact with both the tutor and other course attendees.**
We have no public courses scheduled for this course right now, get in touch to find out more about booking an in-house training course, call 0800 052 2424 or email us.
Course aims
FMEA is an analytical method and widely used in the aerospace industry as a specific requirement to ensure potential problems have been considered, assessed for risk and actioned during the product and process design stages. It supports defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste.
This course covers the FMEA requirements for AS9145 – Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process.
What will I learn?
-
The activities involved in the development of an FMEA
-
How to identify the different types of FMEA, design, process and machine
-
How to conduct the steps involved for a successful FMEA
-
How to identify failure modes and apply risk rankings to severity, occurrence and detection
-
How to assign risk priority numbers (RPN) to each failure mode identified
-
How to determine actions to reduce or eliminate high RPN’s
-
How to interpret the challenges associated with product and process design
-
How to become a productive member of a product or process design team
