MSA – Measurement System Analysis LMR Global - Aerospace Core Tool Training
All of our courses are being held virtually by our expert tutors. Book online below to secure your place.
Held in collaboration with LMR Global - This one-day course teaches the aerospace methodology for measurement systems analysis, as defined in AS13003 (Measurement System Analysis for the Aero Engine supply chain) and the MSA requirements for AS9145 – Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). It also details the typical methods used to evaluate both variable and attribute measurement systems.
You will learn about the methods used to assess the quality of a measurement system, and to understand the sources of variation present and the impact on the measurement result. The course also outlines the competitive advantages of an effective Measurement System Analysis (MSA) process along with the benefits of reducing costs through accurate measurement.
**Please note that we encourage all our delegates sitting on virtual courses to have access to a webcam. This will enable you to interact with both the tutor and other course attendees.**
We have no public courses scheduled for this course right now, get in touch to find out more about booking an in-house training course, call 0800 052 2424 or email us.
Course aims
Why use MSA?
Measurement System Analysis (MSA), is a method for determining the variation present in measurement systems. In the Aerospace Industry a high level of confidence is required for the measurement of product and process characteristics and accurate inspection is essential to ensure that parts and assemblies delivered to the purchaser meet specifications.
MSA provides a method enabling organisations to understand the variation present in their measuring systems. This variation can impact both variable and attribute measurement systems.
About AS13003 (Measurement System Analysis for the Aero Engine supply chain)
This standard defines the essential requirements to establish acceptable measurement systems (for variable and attribute features) for use on aero engine parts and assemblies.
There are many different requirements across the aero engine parts and assemblies supply chain, and the aerospace industry is heavily reliant on inspection to ensure that parts and assemblies delivered to the purchaser meet drawing requirements.
The AS13003 standard is intended to harmonize these requirements into a single methodology and determine what needs to be inspected. The standard defines the minimum requirements for conducting Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) for variable and attribute assessment on characteristics as defined on the drawing or specification.
